Somerset is proud to announce that in July of this year, the membership of the Pellet Fuel Institute (PFI) voted Troy Jamieson of Somerset to serve a 2nd 3-year term on the Board of Directors. Troy has been actively involved as co-chair of the Conference Committee that plans and organizes the July annual meeting and March annual luncheon of the PFI.

On August 18th, Paul Stringer gave a talk to a group interested in learning more about wood pellets at the University of Tennessee’s Center for Renewable Carbon—and to countless others who watched virtually via webinar. His talk, entitled “Getting into the Wood Pellet Business” presented a case study based on Somerset’s experience with entering the competitive bio fuel industry.
